Maintenance Plan

General Guidelines

  • The website worldteachertrust.org is a communication task of the Executive Board of WTT-Global, in the field of the responsible of communication and coordination. The person in charge of this role is the site owner as per any legal requirements. He has the overall responsibility for the content and maintenance of the site and functions as the site manager.
  • A team under his supervision takes care of the operational tasks. Within this team, there is a steering committee consisting of the site manager, the technical manager and the general consultant. Furthermore, there are content managers of the different language sections and Vaisakh News Letter managers. For the latter there is also a Vaisakh News Letter Administration Guide.
  • The members of the steering committee substitute each other in case of inavailability of the primary responsible for a task. The content managers substitute each other in the respective language group or delegate a task to members of the steering committee. Substitute roles can also be taken by members of the relaunch project team, if so required by the content managers.
  • The site manager is the final responsible for changes to the website across all the language versions.
  • The site manager is the official contact person for urgent and general decisions related to the website.
  • Content has to be synchronized across all language versions, except when content is purely regional in nature or in cases decided so by the site manager.
  • New content including publications and new book presentations are implemented by the team members directly but have to be communicated to the site manager (and cc the General Consultant) for feedback and corrections.
  • Though not in their fix responsibility list, the Content Managers are invited to regularly check the pages of their language group, esp. Home, Community, Events and Dates and create specific pages as per the needs of their national group (local seminars, meetings, special events). Such pages don't need to be translated but the creation of the page (as sub-page to the Groups page and linked there and at other relevant pages) has to be communicated to the Site Manager and the General Consultant.
