Vaisakh News Letter Administration Guide

Admin instructions for the Vaisakh News Letter managers for maintaining the news letter's editions on the website.

The annual cycle of the Vaisakh News Letter starts with the month of Taurus / Visakha and ends with the month of Aries / Mesha.

To follow the publication rhythm in a synchronous way, the new issues of the Vaisakh News Letters are published no earlier than the 24th degree (day) of the previous sign and no later than the 27th degree (day). This rhythm depends on the translation, proof-reading and layouting workflow; it is an ideal and should not cause any feeling of pressure.

1) Upload the PDF version of the Vaisakh News Letter to the WTT system.

• All the filenames have to be in English in lower case characters for all language versions.
  • Two copies of the news letter will need to be uploaded each month (see the example in the image below):
    • One file with the name “vaisakh.pdf”, for the page with the current news letter.
    • One file with the “vaisakh_” followed by the zodiacal sign name and followed by the two digit year, for the page with the previous Vaisakh News Letters. For example: “vaisakh_sagittarius13.pdf”. The Capricorn Vaisakh News Letter will always carry the two digits of the year to pass: For example: “vaisakh_capricorn13.pdf” for the month of Capricorn 2013/14.

• The files need to be uploaded to the corresponding language domain listed under “vaisakh”. Argentinian files will need to be uploaded to “ar” folder, German files to “de” folder, English files to “en” folder, Spanish files to “es” folder, and French files to “fr” folder. 2) Adapt the “Previous Vaisakh News Letters” page in the corresponding language domain (Argentinan, English, French, German, Spanish). There is a special trick to only show the editions that are currently issued in the current period and hide the future editions from this page. Insert a blank space character between “wr” and “ap” characters right after the next month's VNL. This will hide all the future editions. Remove the space character between “wr” and “ap” for the current month's VNL. This will unhide (and display) the current edition on this page. See the screenshot below for details.

3) Send the PDF and Microsoft Word version of the latest Vaisakh News Letter to Ludger via email, for the offline archives. As soon as the news letters are online / the email is received, Ludger also sends an email information to the English, French and German subscribers.

The calendar dates of the 4 languages as well as the chart of the month are published by Ludger.

The General consultant will adopt the “Previous Vaisakh News Letters” pages in all language domains and create the template for the year in before a new year's cycle begins.
